What will you learn?
Learning dispositions are inherent qualities that all humans possess. They not only allow us to learn deeply and effectively, but they also support us to navigate the complexity and challenges of life itself. Importantly, these dispositions can be explicitly learnt and taught, and the Learning Disposition Wheel is a powerful tool designed for this purpose.
In this introductory course, we’ll explore and develop an understanding of the Learning Disposition Wheel, fluency in its language, and processes for bringing it to life pedagogically within curriculum and/or professional learning.
This course is for educators and leaders who:
work in early learning, primary, secondary and tertiary contexts and value evidence-based and playfully rigorous professional learning.
want to cultivate joyful, self-regulated and motivated life-long learners.
are curious about how to explicitly strengthen the learning dispositions with staff and students.
are searching for ‘the how’ of identifying, supporting and extending the potential of all learners.
seek to empower themselves and others in order to meet the complexity of the 21st century.
want to understand how to create the conditions for learner agency through practical pedagogical strategies and a shared language.
are new to our work and simply want to know more about the learning dispositions and how they might be relevant to their context.
are from our partnership schools who want to expand the knowledge of the learning dispositions to specific individuals or groups in their community.
who want an opportunity to connect and collaborate with other education professionals around the world.
